Who I Am
I am a double board-certified Child and Adult Psychiatrist, and Debut Author on enhancing understanding for parents, to halt trauma and be happy.
My Timeline
As a Contra Costa Times child advice columnist, I revealed aspirations to become a child psychiatrist and writer.
I completed my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship and over two decades served as Contra Costa County Lead Child Psychiatrist, taught child psychiatrist trainees as UCSF Assistant Clinical Professor, and practiced psychiatry for patients at every developmental stage—all in the parenting trenches myself.
I recorded my findings on what worked, as a parent and child psychiatrist in parallel.
Today, I have become increasingly interested in sharing my knowledge on how to promote positive parent-child experiences through the new vital sign of relational health––where parent and child development meet––to improve health and well being for generations to follow.
